time2017/10/23

On September 25th, the USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF) announced the availability of the USB 3.2 specification, which means that USB 3.2 is an incremental update that complements USB 3.1 on the existing basis, preserving the USB 3.1 (Gen2) physical layer and Coding technology, the use of dual-channel technology, in the use of SuperSpeed + certified USB Type-C data cable can achieve up to 20Gbps transfer rate, and Type-C has become a USB 3.2 interface.

Before we talk about USB 3.2, let's take a brief look at the USB version of the previous generation. One of the most commendable places in USB is compatibility. The new version and the old version are common to each other, but the maximum transfer rate depends on the lower version of the USB standard. One example, a simple example: USB 1.1 U disk and USB 2.0 host there is no compatibility between the problem, but the speed will be fixed in the USB 1.1 Full Speed state.
